A lot of who we are is written in the objects that surround us. My work as a craftsmen designer is intended to provoke positive change in the way we value objects, and our environment. I intend to work in a way that spans the boundaries of craft and design. I am interested in alternative forms of mechanical and structural engineering, often inspired by systems found in nature. I welcome the use of new materials and the opportunity to use existing material in nontraditional applications. Furniture has allowed me to build in a scale that offers personal investigation as well as stimulating the dynamics of an architectural space. I admire the traditions and craft of the past while welcoming the technology of the future.
